Edwardian Paste Pendant

On Hold  Item: 1325

Paste has been collected and adored for centuries as the stones are cut and set in the same manner as fine diamond jewelry. This rare and unusal piece from the Edwardian Era (1900-1915) is crafted of silver over gold with collet set white paste. Fourteen (14) glittering round stones surround a champagne diamond colored articulated center teardrop. The bale is crafted in the quintessential Edwardian style of a delicate bow containing 3 additional pastes. The finishing touch which helps to balance this lovely piece is an articulated paste drop.

Worn in the evening, on a ribbon as shown, a black cord or a silver chain, the glow of this piece will fool all but the most ardent of fine diamond devotees.
